Exhibitions has built a reputation both locally and internationally
as the leader in creating high profile, highly targeted
business and consumer exhibitions.
Reed
Exhibitions is responsible for ensuring each event receives
a high level of exposure and delivering the greatest number
of visitors. In 2007 Reed Exhibitions Industrial division
not only remained consistent in carrying this objective
through their marketing activities, they amplified their
emphasis on delivering exhibitor returns by incorporating
a direct telemarketing communication channel into their
strategy.
Reed
contacted PRTA in 2007 to undertake the responsibilities
associated with contacting two groups of over 3,000 contacts
each, within a 2 week timeframe.
The
first group of 3,000 delegates, who had pre registered to
attend the PrintEx exhibition, was contacted with the objective
of confirming attendance and providing delegates with exhibition
details. Over 85% of the contacted delegates were successfully
confirmed, with replacement delegates registered directly
via the telephone in place of those who were not longer
able to attend.
The
second group of 3,000 contacts, who had not registered,
was contacted with the objective of informing each individual
of the event and directly registering those who from the
telemarketing call chose to attend. PRTA successfully registered
29% of prospects that were contacted directly via the telephone,
with a further 4% expressing an interest in the event and
requesting further information for pursual at their own
liberty.
Following
the success of these campaigns, PRTA has now taken on the
telemarketing responsibilities for each of the exhibitions
carried out by Reed Exhibitions Industrial division.
